Terms & Conditions

The clear rules for using Horizon, placing an order, receiving products fulfilled by our supply partners, and exercising your consumer rights.

Last updated 25 July 2026 Applies to https://www.horizonsuperstore.co.uk

AT A GLANCE

  • Your statutory consumer rights are never reduced.
  • Horizon remains your retailer when a supplier ships directly.
  • Most eligible online purchases have a 14-day cancellation window.

Plain language, full protection. These documents are designed to be readable. Nothing in them limits rights that cannot legally be limited.

Who we are and how to contact us

This website and online store are operated by the business identified below. In these terms, “Horizon”, “we”, “us” and “our” refer to that business. “You” means the person browsing the website or buying from us.

Horizon Superstore
Trading as Horizon-Superstore
Blackburn, BB2 1QZ
Website: www.horizonsuperstore.co.uk
Email: support@horizonsuperstore.co.uk
Phone: 07923035090

Please contact us using the details above if you have a question about an order, cancellation, return, product or these terms. Include your order number where possible.

When these terms apply

These terms apply when you use this website, create an account or order goods from Horizon. They should be read with our Privacy Policy, Cookie Policy, delivery information and returns information.

You must be at least 18 years old and legally capable of entering into a contract to place an order. If you are under 18, a parent or guardian must place the order.

Your statutory rights

Nothing in these terms excludes or restricts rights or remedies that UK consumer law gives you and that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.

Products and product information

We take reasonable care to ensure product descriptions, images, dimensions, specifications, availability and prices are accurate. Images are illustrative: colours and appearance can vary by screen, and packaging or minor product details may differ where the change does not materially affect the product.

Please review the full product page, measurements, compatibility information and any safety or age guidance before ordering. Availability may change without notice. We may correct an obvious error or withdraw a product before accepting an order.

Goods supplied to consumers must be of satisfactory quality, fit for any purpose made known to us, and as described. Product descriptions do not remove those legal standards.

Direct supplier fulfilment

Horizon uses third-party sourcing and fulfilment partners, including suppliers available through AliExpress and suppliers located outside the United Kingdom. This means a product may be stored, packed and sent directly to you by a supply partner instead of first passing through a Horizon warehouse.

Horizon remains your retailer

Direct shipment does not make the supplier your retailer. Your sales contract is with Horizon. Contact us—not the supplier—for order support, cancellations, returns, refunds, faulty goods or complaints.

We may give a supplier and delivery partner the minimum order and contact information needed to fulfil and deliver your purchase. Our Privacy Policy explains this in more detail.

Placing and accepting an order

  1. When you submit an order, you offer to buy the products in your basket under these terms.
  2. An on-screen or email acknowledgement confirms that we received your order. It does not necessarily mean we have accepted it.
  3. We accept your order when we send a dispatch confirmation or otherwise expressly confirm acceptance. A separate contract is formed for each dispatch if an order is split.

We may decline or cancel an order before acceptance, including where a product is unavailable, payment cannot be authorised, delivery restrictions apply, there is an obvious pricing or description error, or we reasonably suspect fraud or misuse. If we have taken payment for an order we do not accept, we will refund it.

Please check the order details before submitting them and contact us promptly if anything is wrong.

Prices, taxes and import charges

The product price and applicable taxes are shown at checkout before you place the order. Delivery to eligible UK addresses is free on every order, with no minimum spend or delivery code required. Prices include VAT where it is applicable and we are required to charge it. We may change prices at any time, but a change will not affect an order already accepted.

Some products may be dispatched from outside the UK. Any customs duty, import VAT or carrier handling charge that you are required to pay must be clearly disclosed before you order. Unless the checkout expressly states that an identified import charge is payable by you, the total shown at checkout is the amount you should expect to pay us for the product.

If a carrier unexpectedly asks you to pay an undisclosed import charge, contact us before making payment so we can investigate.

Payment and fraud checks

Available payment methods are displayed at checkout. You confirm that you are authorised to use the selected payment method and that the billing information is accurate. Payment providers may conduct authentication, fraud-prevention and authorisation checks.

We may place a temporary authorisation on your payment method when you order. Depending on the payment method, funds may be captured when the order is placed, accepted or dispatched. If a payment is reversed or fails after dispatch, you remain responsible for the unpaid price.

We do not add optional paid extras without your express agreement.

Delivery, delays and split shipments

Horizon delivers only to eligible addresses in the United Kingdom. Delivery is free on every order, with no minimum spend or delivery code required. Estimated delivery windows are shown before checkout or on the relevant product page. Delivery dates are estimates unless we expressly agree a guaranteed date. Because supply partners may dispatch products separately, one order can arrive in more than one parcel and at different times.

We will deliver without undue delay and normally within 30 days after the contract is made unless a different period is agreed with you. If a delay occurs, we will provide available updates and your legal remedies will remain available.

Delivery is complete when the parcel is delivered to the address or safe place you authorised. Risk passes to you at that point. You are responsible for providing a complete, accurate and accessible UK delivery address. Please see our Delivery & Shipping page for operational details.

Your right to cancel

For most goods bought online, you may change your mind and cancel without giving a reason. The cancellation period ends 14 days after the day you, or a person you nominate, receives the goods. If one order is delivered in separate parcels on different days, the period normally runs from receipt of the last parcel.

Tell us clearly that you wish to cancel before the period ends. You can email us or use the model cancellation wording at the end of these terms; you do not have to use that wording. Keep evidence that you sent the cancellation.

If you try to cancel before dispatch, we will try to stop fulfilment. If the parcel has already entered the supply chain, you may need to receive and return it.

Returns and refunds after cancellation

After telling us you are cancelling, return the goods without undue delay and no later than 14 days after that notice. Follow the return instructions we provide; do not send goods to the supplier’s address or to an address shown on the parcel unless we expressly tell you to do so.

Unless the goods are faulty, not as described, or we agree otherwise, you are responsible for the direct cost of returning them. We recommend using a tracked service and retaining proof of postage.

We will refund the product price and the cost of our least expensive standard delivery option. We may deduct an amount for loss in value caused by handling beyond what is reasonably necessary to establish the nature, characteristics and functioning of the goods.

We will make the refund without undue delay and no later than 14 days after we receive the goods back or you provide evidence of sending them back, whichever happens first. We normally use the original payment method. See Returns & Refunds for the practical process.

Exceptions to change-of-mind cancellation

The legal change-of-mind right may not apply to certain goods, including:

  • goods made to your specification or clearly personalised;
  • goods liable to deteriorate or expire rapidly;
  • sealed goods not suitable for return for health-protection or hygiene reasons once unsealed;
  • sealed audio, video or computer software once unsealed;
  • goods inseparably mixed with other items after delivery; and
  • other products excluded by applicable consumer law.

A product page should identify a relevant exception before purchase. These exceptions do not remove your rights where goods are faulty, unsafe, misdescribed or otherwise do not conform to the contract.

Faulty, damaged or misdescribed goods

If goods arrive damaged, are faulty, unsafe, not as described or not fit for purpose, contact us promptly with the order number and a clear description of the problem. Photographs or a short video may help us resolve the issue, but we will not make an unreasonable evidence request or require you to negotiate with the supplier.

UK law may entitle you to reject qualifying goods within the short-term rejection period, or to a repair, replacement, price reduction or final right to reject depending on the circumstances and timing. We will pay reasonable return costs where the goods do not conform to the contract.

Any commercial warranty is additional to, and does not replace, your statutory rights.

Accounts, reviews and acceptable use

You are responsible for keeping account credentials confidential and for activity carried out through your account. Tell us promptly if you believe the account has been compromised.

Reviews must reflect a genuine experience and must not be unlawful, abusive, misleading, incentivised without disclosure, or submitted to manipulate ratings. We may moderate content where reasonably necessary, but we do not promise that every user-submitted statement is accurate.

You must not misuse the website, attempt unauthorised access, introduce malicious code, scrape the service at unreasonable scale, interfere with checkout, or use the site for unlawful or fraudulent activity.

Discounts, promotions and gift offers

Promotions may have separate eligibility, duration, product and redemption rules. Unless stated otherwise, discount codes have no cash value, cannot be combined, and may be withdrawn before use. A promotion will not affect an order already accepted unless its terms say otherwise.

If a refund causes an order to stop meeting a promotion’s conditions, the refund may reflect the price actually paid for the returned item. This will not reduce any statutory refund entitlement.

Website content and third-party links

The Horizon name, website design, original copy, graphics and software are protected by intellectual-property laws. You may use the site for personal shopping and may print or save a reasonable copy of these terms. You may not commercially reproduce, resell or exploit our content without permission.

Links to third-party websites are provided for convenience. Their content, availability and privacy practices are controlled by their operators. A link does not by itself mean we endorse everything on that website.

Our responsibility to you

We are responsible for loss or damage that is a foreseeable result of our breach of these terms or failure to use reasonable care and skill. We are not responsible for loss that was not foreseeable when the contract was made.

We supply products for private and domestic use unless we expressly agree otherwise. If you use them for a commercial purpose, we are not responsible for business losses such as loss of profit, revenue, business or opportunity, except where the law does not allow that exclusion.

Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, breach of your statutory rights, defective products where liability cannot be excluded, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Events outside our reasonable control

We are not responsible for delay caused by an event we could not reasonably control, such as severe weather, transport disruption, customs disruption, industrial action, widespread network failure, epidemic, conflict or government action. We will take reasonable steps to reduce the effect and tell you if your order is materially affected.

If there is a substantial delay, you may have the right to end the contract and receive a refund for goods you have paid for but not received.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms to reflect changes to the store, supply chain, law or regulatory guidance. The version in force when we accept your order normally governs that order. We will not retrospectively remove rights from an accepted order.

The “Last updated” date at the top shows when this document was most recently revised. We recommend saving a copy with your order records.

Complaints, governing law and courts

Please contact us first so we can try to resolve a complaint directly. We will acknowledge it and aim to provide a fair response within a reasonable time.

These terms and any non-contractual dispute are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live elsewhere in the UK, you also retain the benefit of mandatory consumer protections that apply where you live. You may bring proceedings in the courts that have jurisdiction under applicable consumer law.

You may also seek independent advice from Citizens Advice or your local Trading Standards service.

Model cancellation form

You may copy and send the wording below if you want to cancel an eligible contract. Using this form is optional.
