What this policy covers
This policy explains how Horizon uses cookies and similar storage or access technologies on this website. It should be read with our Privacy Policy, which explains how we use personal information more generally.
“Cookies” below includes small text files stored by a browser and similar technologies such as local storage. Some are first-party technologies set for Horizon; others may be provided by a payment, security or other service embedded in the website.
How cookies and local storage work
A cookie allows a website to remember information about a browser for a session or for a defined period. Local storage performs a similar role but remains in the browser until it is cleared or replaced. These technologies can keep a basket intact, maintain a secure session, remember display choices and record how an order reached the store.
A session item normally expires when the browser session ends or after a short period of inactivity. A persistent item remains until its stated expiry, until it is replaced, or until you clear it.
The categories we use

Store and preference technologies
The following technologies are associated with the current Horizon storefront. A particular item is set only when the relevant feature is used.
An asterisk indicates a variable suffix, such as a site-specific identifier.
Order-source attribution
WooCommerce may use short-lived sbjs_* cookies to record how the current shopping session reached Horizon. This can include the referring website, campaign parameters, entry page, device category and number of pages viewed. The information is read into order records only if an order is placed; it is not designed to build a behavioural profile across multiple sessions.
Payment and third-party services
Payment providers, banks, fraud-prevention services, embedded media or other features may set their own technologies when you use them. For example, a payment provider may use cookies needed to authenticate a transaction, remember the selected payment method, prevent fraud or complete checkout.
The exact third-party technology depends on the payment or feature you choose and can change when store integrations are updated. Where a technology is necessary to provide the payment or service you request, it is treated as essential for that interaction. Optional analytics or advertising technologies remain subject to the required choice.
The relevant provider’s privacy or cookie information may also apply. The provider name is displayed at checkout or beside the feature where practical.
Consent and your choices
Horizon does not ask for consent to technologies that are strictly necessary to provide a service you request, but we still explain them here. Where consent is legally required for an optional technology, it should not be activated before you make an affirmative choice.
If a “Cookie settings” control is displayed on the website, you can use it at any time to review or change optional choices. Withdrawing consent does not affect the lawfulness of earlier use. If no settings control is displayed, the core storefront should be operating without optional advertising technologies; you may contact us if you observe otherwise.
You can also block or delete cookies and site data through browser settings. Blocking essential storage may empty the basket, end a login session, stop wishlist or theme preferences being remembered, or prevent checkout from completing.
Browser privacy signals
Browsers and extensions may send signals such as “Do Not Track” or Global Privacy Control. There is not one universally applicable technical standard for every signal in the UK. We will respect signals where required and continue to minimise optional tracking through our own settings and service configuration.
Changes and cookie audits
Store features, suppliers and browser technologies change over time. We periodically review the technologies used and update this table where there is a material change. The date at the top identifies the latest published version.
A technology may appear in your browser that is not listed if it is set only for administrators, by a newly enabled feature, during a payment interaction or as part of security infrastructure. Please tell us if you see an unexpected item so we can investigate and update this policy where needed.
